About Us

Who We Are

Expert Logic Holdings, Inc.

Expert Logic Holdings, Inc. (eLHi), the parent company of Expert Logic Systems, Inc. (eLSi), is an entrepreneurial enterprise, founded by veterans from Booz & Company's Information Technology (IT) practice in "software intelligence." eLHi is the exclusive owner of certain computerized methods and proprietary processes, protected within two patents issued with third pending and fourth in-process. eLHi’s inventions are associative and relational database techniques and technologies that facilitate the "precision scientific" match and optimization of consumer characteristics (demand attributes) with product parameters (supply benefits).

Patents I, II (Issued), III (Pending) and IV (In-Process):

I. Expert System Recommendations; Matching Consumer Profiles to Product Evaluations (#8,155,577) Issued 10 April 2012. Priority June 2002. Expiration December 2027.

II. Expert System Recommendations; Optimizing Consumer Selections of Product Options (#8,407,106) Issued 26 March 2013. Priority June 2002. Expiration December 2027.

III. Expert System Recommendations; Accessing Consumer Account Information and Product Supplier Data (#13/778,374) Patent Pending. Priority June 2002.

IV. Expert System Recommendations; Applyin g Buyer-Consumer (Demand) Electronic Fingerprint and Footprint to Hand-Shake and Step-Through Product (Supply) Outcome Possibilities. Application in-process. Priority June 2002.

Our intention is to further expand the breadth and reach of our protected intellectual property (IP) by filing additional patents that further address the "smart search space" inventions. These additional methods and processes will be integrated into our IP for utilization within existing Internet "Expertise" driven platform and technologies.

Expert Logic Systems, Inc.

eLSi, our operational subsidiary in technology, provides distinctive capabilities to online users facing complex, high-impact stakes decisions (e.g., parent educators choosing curriculum for their children students, etc.) based on its expert systems and choice comparison engines. eLSi affords users access to industry- recognized, world-class expertise and selection Services, to simplify and improve high-risk search decisions. These capabilities are provided via proprietary systems that integrate artificial intelligence, databases and process automation. The proprietary systems incorporate copyrighted user survey instruments, personality and skills archetypes and product profiling techniques, as well as trade secret algorithms, for consolidating, developing and ranking demand-to-supply “best fit scores.” eLSi’s systems provide customized decision support as well as up-to-the-minute information on alternative product and service availability, pricing and suppliers.

The key to eLSi’s “Expert Layer” is the integration of knowledge gleaned from subject matter experts and vast amounts of catalog and inventory data into its unique decision-making technology and selection Services tailored to specific industry and user segments. eLSi brings game-changing technology to its first application in the education industry, with the credibility as an objective source of curriculum advice, because we do not focus primarily on retailing. eLSi has positioned itself as “retailer-agnostic,” the only position providing objective advice with a range of purchasing options.

Historical Background

Dr. L. George Saad, Ph.D.

eLSi was founded by Ihab L. Saad and his father, Dr. L. George Saad, Ph.D. Dr. Saad was an accomplished educator and author, with very successful series of Developmental Mathematics worktexts for homeschoolers, published by his company Mathematics Programs Associates, Inc. (MPA). He was the inspiration for eLSi’s inception and incubation. Following his father’s dedication to home education, Mr. Saad initiated the vision for an interactive forum for e-education via the Internet, offering a one-stop online resource center and e-schooling system for all of the educational and community needs of the rapidly growing home school market. Dr. Saad passed away in May 2006.

We're proud to announce our first HomeEdExpert Affiliate in Mathematics Programs Associates (MPA) and Dr. Saad's lifelong work in Developmental Mathematics, available in HomeEdShopper; MPA Series Titles and MPASS Math Placement and Scoring System (Coming Soon). Please visit MathPlace.com.

Michael S. Katz

Mr. Saad was a consultant at a major consulting firm, Booz Allen & Hamilton, where he met and was mentored by Senior Partner Michael S. Katz. Mike retired from management consulting, specializing in Media and Entertainment, e-Commerce and Information Technology. Mr. Katz had over 30 years of experience at Booz with over 20 as a Partner, Senior Partner and member of the Board of Directors. He was a champion of eLSi and its vision from its inception and orchestrated the back end design concepts that make our expert recommendation engine so powerful. He was always very passionate about his ideas but very humble in taking credit. Mr. Katz passed away in April 2015.
